We are happy to announce the Sidrea International Workshop "Innovations in corporate governance and performance management". The workshop will be held on 21st and 22nd April, 2016, at UNINT University of Rome, Faculty of Economics, Via Cristoforo Colombo, 200, Rome, Italy.
BACKGROUND:
In recent years, corporate governance and performance management have been deeply changed due to several regulatory requirements around the world and new managerial practices inside the company. These emerging trends affect a huge number of companies belonging to several sectors (such as health care firms, public utilities, public administrations and so on), drawing the attention of regulators, mass media and a wider group of stakeholders.
All these changes in corporate governance and management control spheres could be seen as drivers of innovations inside the firms and they could affect the overall corporate performance.
We invite papers adopting a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches on topic related to the broad themes of emerging trends around corporate governance and performance management systems. In particular, we encourage submissions from scholars, which should be aimed at developing and assessing the extant performance management and corporate governance frameworks. Practitioners’ contributions are welcome as well in order to share managerial practices and fill the gap between theory and practice.
The objective of the workshop is to promote a debate on the challenges and threats for innovations in corporate governance and performance management, such as: What are the most recent innovations in corporate governance? What are the most recent innovations in performance management systems? What are the changes in the settled practices? What are the effects for firms? Who are the involved actors? Submitted papers could deal with, but not limited to, the following issues:
